Helium Streamer's web app organizes your library into a set of focused views, all reachable from the left-hand sidebar. Your music keeps playing and the queue stays visible no matter which view you're in - the player docks at the bottom of every page.
Sidebar Navigation
From top to bottom, the sidebar gives you:
- Releases - the default view when you log in.
- Artists
- Labels (Premium)
- Tracks
- Playlists
- Folders (Premium)
- Genres (Premium)
- Years (Premium)
- Statistics
Settings and your user menu (with Log out) sit pinned at the bottom, separate from the library views above.
Note: Some sidebar items only appear if your account has permission for them, and some (marked above) require a Premium license.
The Views
Releases - An infinitely scrolling grid of album covers. Filter by search term, genre, year, rating, or favourites, sort however you like, and resize the thumbnails to taste. Click into an album to see its cover, stats, track list, star rating, and artist bio, with a link to a Similar Releases page for recommendations based on that album.
Artists - Browse artists as a searchable, filterable grid. Each artist's page shows their bio and photo, country flag, related artists, full discography, and every track of theirs in your library - with options to edit metadata or download artist info.
Labels (Premium) - The same idea as Artists, but for record labels: a browsable list, with a detail page showing everything that label has released in your collection.
Tracks - Every track in your library as one flat, searchable, sortable table, with inline play.
Playlists - Your regular and smart playlists in a folder tree, with the selected playlist's tracks shown alongside. Rename, delete, and reorganize playlists here.
Folders (Premium) - Browse your library the way it's actually organized on disk, as an expandable folder tree with a track list for whatever folder you select.
Genres (Premium) - Pick a genre and see the albums, artists, and tracks that fall under it, side by side.
Years (Premium) - Same idea as Genres, but organized by release/added year.
Statistics - A dashboard of your library at a glance: track/album/artist counts, total playtime, and breakdowns by genre, file type, and release type - click any chart segment to jump to a filtered list.
Search - Opens automatically when you use the search box at the top of the app. Shows matching albums, artists, and tracks together, with quick play/navigate actions.
Play Queue - A full-page view of what's queued up next, with drag-to-reorder, remove, clear, and jump-to-track.
Staying in Sync
Views update live - if a library scan finishes or files change on the server, you'll see a "Library scan complete" notification and the current view refreshes automatically, without needing to reload the page.
Coming soon: a "Music Explorer" view that combines releases, artists, titles, genres, labels, years, and favourites into a single unified browsing tree. It's currently in development and not yet available in the released app.
