Artist Insights
Artist Insights gives you a rich overview of the artists in your music library — from listening statistics and favourite picks to biographical detail and related acts. There are two distinct surfaces: a library-wide Insights page that spans your entire collection, and a per-artist panel that focuses on one artist at a time.
Library-Wide Artist Insights
The library-wide Artist Insights page brings together statistics, discovery tools, and charts covering every artist in your library. To open it, select View > Insights > Artist Insights from the menu bar.
Note: This page requires a Premium licence. If you do not have one, a Premium Required overlay will be shown in place of the content.
Spotlight Artist
At the top of the page, Helium highlights a randomly chosen artist in a featured card. The card displays a large circular photo, the artist’s name, country, and formation year, along with a favourite icon and a star rating.
- Click Play Now to open that artist’s detail page.
- Click Shuffle to feature a different artist. Helium prefers artists who have a photo.
KPI Cards
Six tiles summarise key facts about the artists in your library. Several tiles are clickable and take you directly to a filtered view:
- Total Artists — the total number of artists in your library. Click to open the Artists view.
- Never Played — artists you have never listened to. Click to filter the Artists view to unplayed artists.
- Countries — the number of distinct countries represented in your library. Click to open the Country Insights page.
- Hours Listened — your total listening time across all artists, shown in hours. Display only.
- New This Month — artists whose first track was added to your library this month. Click to filter the Artists view to these artists.
- Favourites — artists you have marked as a favourite. Click to filter the Artists view to your favourites.
Rediscover Artists
This section shows six randomly selected artists as circular photo cards, each displaying the artist’s name and country. It is designed to help you rediscover artists you may not have listened to recently.
- Click Shuffle to pick six different artists.
- Click any card to open that artist’s detail page.
Artists by Era
A bar chart groups all artists in your library by the decade in which their tracks were released — for example, the 1970s or the 1980s. Up to ten decades are shown in chronological order. This section is for browsing only and is not interactive.
Most Played Artists
A ranked list of your eight most-played artists. Each row shows a circular photo, the artist’s name, country, and total play count. Click any row to open that artist’s detail page.
Per-Artist Insights
When you open an individual artist’s detail page, an Insights panel is shown alongside their information. This panel focuses entirely on that one artist.
KPI Cards
Six tiles display facts about the selected artist. All tiles are for display only:
- Connections — the number of related or linked artists.
- In Library — how many of the artist’s releases you have in your library.
- Not In Library — releases in the artist’s discography that you do not yet have.
- Releases — the total number of releases in the artist’s discography.
- Total Plays — the artist’s all-time play count in your library.
- Genres — the number of distinct genres across the artist’s tracks.
