Grouping the data

Starting with Helium 17.4 it's possible to group data in Thumbnails, Cards and the Split view.

To enable grouping click to cog icon at the toolbar above the releases. From the context menu shown, choose Grouping > <the item you would like to group on>, e.g. country.

When grouping is active, the items will presented witha group header for the selected grouping.

It is currently not possible to expand/collapse groups in the Thumbnails and Cardview modes due to performance reasons.

To quickly jump to a group, click the cog icon and select the specific group from the Groups submenu.

To remove grouping, click the cog icon, Grouping > None.

Grouping in the split view

When grouping is active in the split view it will allow you to expand and collapse groups.

It will also allow you to define a subgrouping from the cog icon context menu.

Using this mode, it can for example group items on:
- Country

- Release type

Expanding a country, e.g. Sweden, will show all artists from that country.

Expanding a specific artist will display all items defined by the subgrouping

Expanding a subgrouping, e.g. release type, will display all albums connected to the artist and the subgrouping.

Grouping mode is filter-aware.

The Advanced filter works like the Advanced search, but only with one row of arguments.
