Introduction
Insights is a feature introduced in Helium 18.1 that lets you explore your music collection from multiple perspectives. It displays statistics and summaries grouped by tracks, albums, artists, and more, making it easy to discover patterns and rediscover music you may have forgotten about.
Variants
Helium offers the following Insights views, each presenting your library from a different angle:
- Tracks Insights: Statistics and highlights based on individual tracks.
- Album Insights: Statistics and highlights based on albums.
- Artist Insights: Statistics and highlights based on artists.
- Label Insights: Statistics and highlights based on record labels.
- Genre Insights: Statistics and highlights based on genres.
- Year Insights: Statistics and highlights based on release years.
- Country Insights: Statistics and highlights based on countries of origin.
In addition to these library-wide views, context-specific Insights are available when you are browsing a particular Country, Album, Artist, Genre, or Year. These show statistics relevant only to the selected item.
Usage
You can open Insights in several ways:
- From the menu bar, go to View > Insights to open the library-wide Insights overview.
- Click the light bulb icon on any page that supports it to open Insights for that page directly.
- When viewing a specific item — such as an artist or genre — select the Insights tab within that item's detail view.
